Sorry the photos are weak but frankly, I'm too tired to make better ones! The silver bowl has baby spiders and those are black flowers in the vase. The male statue only wears a mask at Halloween. He likes to get in on the holiday too. The glitter mummy hands in the candy corn are my favorite new thing.
The Halloween Queen has been a fixture in my house for a long time. Her look says, "I'm scary but I'm wickedly fun!"
The mummy in her shades is somewhat subdued this year. I think she might need a cigarette or something to spice her up a bit.
Sorry about the glare. This is a mouse on a cheese plate.
This is a ceramic pumpkin sitting on dried black beans.
Halloween is almost bigger than Christmas at my house. Over the years, I have collected many crazy decorations but my favorite are the vintage looking ones. The mummy in photo 3 gets a new look every year but rest assured, she is always fabulous! Not pictured are witch legs in the fireplace along with rat siblings of the one in the candy corn. My son complains that my decorations have gotten too "cute" and less scary but I do always try to have a twisted sense of humor about it. I guess I love Halloween because it always brings out the child in me. Of course, that's not hard to do! I do have a costume in mind so I'll try to get a good picture of it. For those of you who know me, you know what to expect...something people shake their heads and think, "How does she come up with this stuff???" As I always say, the kids have to go to therapy over something. It might as well be me!
