My first memory of the desire for beauty was cutting my neighbor's freshly grown tulips from their front yard for a surprise party for my mother. I was six. Surely they understood I needed the table to be pretty and it really wasn't a big deal they had carefully planted the bulbs in the fall, only to have a little girl come and snip them for a lovely vase. I'm still arranging tulips in a lovely vase but now they aren't stolen!
My name is Julie Webber and I live in Fort Worth, Texas. Although I grew up here, I consider Houston my home as well since I raised two boys there and lived in the city for over twenty years. Houston has some of the best interior designers and home stores on the planet and now I'm excited to learn about the best of the best in Dallas/Fort Worth. As a licensed residential Realtor, I see some really amazing homes. There is no better way to protect your investment than to make good choices when renovating and styling a home. I hope readers of this blog will be inspired and informed as I show the latest, greatest in design and get advice from the experts in the industry.
The thing about beauty is it is everywhere if we just look. From the smallest flower to the most spectacular chandelier or simply a thoughtful gesture from a stranger, it's all beautiful. I'm a big believer in the soul of a home...saving good "bones," being true to the time period of the house, showing the personality of the homeowner and creating rooms with memories you'll always cherish. A person should love where they live - even if on a modest budget. Elsie de Wolfe knew her calling and I am grateful to celebrate people who have that gift.
